    Information on Programs Offered:

    Today's ever growing world and new technology demands highly trained Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) personnel. Actual design can be visualized before they are constructed, allowing products to be built and marketed at a faster pace than ever before.

    CADD operators are employed in fields such as architecture, manufacturing, construction and engineering. CADD is now used in all phases of the design and manufacturing process, from 2D design and technical drawings to 3D models and prototypes.

    BIT will introduce you to some of the most creative software applications and technologies available in Computer Drafting and Design: Autodesk AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator are just some of the cutting edge tools you will use in the CADD Technology program. BIT provides a professional CADD facility, giving students the tools and the knowledge to draft and design with computers upon graduation.

    A Certificate of completion in CADD Technology will prepare you for careers in: Architect Technician, Builders Design Assistant, CADD Operator, Renderer, Showroom Designer, Landscape Design Assistant, Kitchen Design Assistant or Bath Design Assistant.

    The Hands-On P.C. Technology program is comprised of intensive, hands-on, step-by-step training. A compatible IBM computer is furnished at the school so that individuals can set their own study pace outside of scheduled class time. Students who complete this certificate program will achieve competency in the Microsoft Office Professional Software package as well as learn the fundamentals of networking.

    Use of Internet browsers and email are covered as well as their integration into the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Preparation for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification is integrated into the curriculum if the student wishes to pursue it. The hardware classes prepare the student for A+ Hardware Certification if the student wishes to pursue that also.

    The Hands-On P.C. Technology Certificate of Completion program will prepare you for entry level positions in: PC Maintenance Technician, Technical Support Personnel, Micro-Telecommunications Technician, LAN Technician, or Automated Office Specialist.

    BIT has developed an advanced-level Network Security program for those ready for the challenge. Students will work with some of the most technically challenging technologies available in Network Securities including Cisco PIX Firewalls, Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000. BIT provides a professional Network Security facility, providing students the tools and the knowledge to design and implement security solutions in a variety of technologies upon graduation. Upon completion of the program the student will have acquired a working knowledge of the following:

    • Microsoft Security Solutions
    • Cisco PIX Firewall
    • Cisco Virtual Private Networks
    • Intrusion Detection Systems
    • Network Forensics

    BIT leads the way in Network Technologies by equipping its students with a strong combination of academics and in-depth, hands-on training. Upon completion of a well rounded core of computer skills, students may choose between Cisco, Novell, Microsoft certification courses for credit or a combination, all coupled with A+ and Net+ certifications from Comp TIA.

    Graduates of BIT in the technical world fulfill positions as Network Administrators in their certification field.

    A graduate of the Web Design certificate program is allowed to let their creative mind take control of his or her career. This exciting fast-paced career is for those who want to become a part of the ever-expanding World Wide Web. There is a demand for these highly trained professionals who can develop well designed web sites and earn good salaries.

    BIT will introduce you to some of the most creative software applications and technologies available such as...Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, Illustrator, InDesign and Macromedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Ultradev and Cold Fusion.

    The Web Design Certificate program will prepare you for entry level careers in Web Designer, E-Commerce, Digital Photographer, Digital Videographer, Digital Video Technician, Computer Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Desk Top Publishing and Multimedia Designer.
