    ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

    Undergraduate Requirements

    To enter an undergraduate program, applicants must:
    • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Be employed at the time of enrollment, or have access to an organizational environment that allows application of the concepts learned in class

    Prior coursework, elective classes, major studies and credits awarded through the Assessment of Prior Learning or the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) will be considered for academic credit during the admission process. If applicants have had professional training or have served in the military, they may be able to convert previous experience into academic credits.

    Graduate Requirements

    To enter a graduate program, applicants must:
    • Have an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or one that is a candidate for accreditation
    • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5
    • Have a minimum of 3 years of significant work experience and be employed at the time of enrollment, or have access to an organizational environment that allows application of the concepts learned in class

    Information on Programs Offered:

    Core competencies in technology, critical thinking, and communication are emphasized throughout the accounting curriculum. Students in this program gain broad exposure to varied business disciplines including management, organizational behavior, economics, statistics and finance.The MBA with a concentration in accounting (MBA/ACC) concentrates on managing human and fiscal resources within the structure, culture, and mission of any organization. The curriculum addresses advanced costing techniques, accounting theory, accounting information systems, issues in corporate taxation, executive management, budgeting, human resources management, organizational development and strategic planning, among other subjects. This program is designed for the working adult employed in a business or public organization. The administration major stresses skill development in financial accounting, managerial finance, quantitative analysis, economics, marketing, and business-based research. The Master in Business Administration (MBA) develops students for the role managers play in defining business problems, assessing information, considering alternatives, and choosing the best solution. Students will benefit from hands-on application of the most current management techniques and tools as they work through this curriculum. The BSB/IS program is focused on the acquisition, deployment and management of information technology resources and services, as well as the development and evolution of technology infrastructures and systems for use in organization processes. The curriculum is designed to produce graduates ready to function in information technology positions with the competencies, skills, and attitudes necessary for success in the workplace. The MBA/GM program provides individuals with the opportunity to study in a program specifically designed for managing multicultural and multinational workforces effectively in a rapidly-changing environment. The MBA/GM program provides a broad-based understanding of the economics of international and global business operations, and prepares students to manage human and material resources effectively and efficiently within international cultural, legal, and political contexts. The MBA/HCM program emphasizes the identification, analysis, and solution of complex management problems with a foundation of health care concepts and decision models that will support the variety of management roles that can be seen in today's health care environment. Courses will cover health care organizations, health care finance, quality and data base management, health care infrastructure, and health care strategic management.The MBA/HRM program is designed to meet the needs of a broad but unique population - the working adult manager or supervisor who could benefit from a graduate business education. Because the tools of the human resources management science are applicable to the problems of the public sector as well as the private sector, students whose career interests involve not-for-profit enterprise are also encouraged to seek admission. Designed for the working adult who wants to acquire or build knowledge and skills essential for management in private and public organizations, the Management Major emphasizes performance systems, employment law, marketing and public relations, financial analysis, global business strategies, and quality management. The marketing major includes a foundational marketing course upon which is based further study in the areas of buyer behavior, sales management, advertising, marketing research, and international marketing. The curriculum addresses identifying customer needs, communicating product and service information, where to market and how to price products and services, and many other issues. The BSB/PA focuses on the efficient and effective utilization of public resources to achieve the public purpose within a dynamic environment. The program will emphasize the foundations of public administration, public policy formulation, program development, implementation and valuation, human resources and labor relations, and public finance. The MBA/TM program links technology and business together as integrated functions of an organization. This program is dedicated to establishing an innovative environment that encompasses the creation-to-application spectrum of technology development.
