Information on Programs Offered:In today's world, virtually every building we visit and every man-made environment we explore is the product of Computer-Aided Design (CAD). The people who utilize Computer-Aided Design tools are professionals in a field that work on everything from the design of residences and commercial office space, to sports stadiums and public parks. Students who would like to combine their interests in architecture, engineering, or drafting with a rewarding high-tech career should explore options in Computer-Aided Design. The Computer-Aided Design (Architectural Drafting) Program equips students with the skills necessary to become a candidate for many careers available to the skilled CAD operator. Architectural Drafting students receive training on recent releases of AutoCAD, a popular CAD application that provides experience in developing technical drawings related to the field of architecture. Computer networks are the backbones of companies. In Westwood's Associate Degree Program, you will learn how to design, build, maintain, and upgrade sophisticated computer systems for business and industry that allow people from around the world to maintain access to information and to each other. This career program focuses on the technical aspects of computer networking. The Computer Network Engineering program is designed to provide students with the skills required to design, install, configure, and maintain enterprise-wide networks. The Graphic Design and Multimedia program prepares students for entry-level jobs in the graphic design and multimedia industry. Students learn to create effective designs that communicate visually in both print and multimedia environments. The program prepares graduates for positions as graphic designers, production artists, web page designers, and multimedia designers within a diverse industry.
