    Information on Programs Offered:

    The Associate of Applied Science degree in Applied Management is designed to meet the needs of individuals who have acquired occupationally-related training at community colleges, technical institutes, military service schools, or industry-related schools in business, health, or a technical field.

    Credit may be granted for work in these areas toward your Associate degree.

    Do you hold a certificate, diploma or degree in a specialty area such as dental hygiene, drafting, electronics, welding or other vocations? NAU’s Applied Management program is designed to give you a jump start on your Bachelor of Science degree by granting credit for previous specialty completions.

    This specialized Associate of Applied Science degree program emphasizes an understanding of business and an introduction to the use of computers in business.

    Once you complete this program, you can choose to continue in the Bachelor of Science degree program in Business Administration with a general concentration or focus on information technology, financial management, international business, management, or marketing.

    This degree is an excellent choice if you are seeking a broad understanding of business. As a graduate of this program, you will be qualified for a wide range of challenging management positions in business, government and non-profit organizations.

    This two-year program of study leads to an Associate of Applied Science degree and is designed to provide education for various entry-level positions in the information systems field. You will work with your advisor to design a program in your area of interest such as programming, database administration, Microsoft networking or software applications. As a graduate, you’ll be qualified for a career in areas such as computer programmer, programmer/operators, database administrators and networking or microcomputer specialists.

    The requirement for management personnel to understand computer technology and its impact upon modern business operations has never been greater. This degree program, with its component of business, finance, management, and accounting courses and its specialization in IT, prepares graduates to be managers in computer technology. Graduates are qualified as well for positions as systems analysts, computer center managers, and sales and marketing representatives.
